An Open Afternoon to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2. Includes exhibition, talk and concert. Free entry, refreshments available.
We will have an exhibition in the church about life on the homefront during WW2 and memories from Penarth people about the war. There will also be cosutmes, memorabilia, Penarth history and photos. We have recreated a Victory Garden in the churchyard and will have a WW2 Jeep parked outside.
At 1.45pm there is a walk and talk about the war graves in the churchyard
At 3pm we have a concert of wartime songs and stories.
All welcome, free entry, refreshments available tea/coffe, homemade cakes, homemade preserves
