Description

Côr Merched Plastaf is proud to announce the launch of the choir’s first album at a special concert on Saturday evening, 26 April 2025, at St Augustine's Church, Penarth at 6pm.

Côr Merched Plastaf is a talented choir of young female voices from the three Welsh-medium secondary schools in Cardiff: Plasmawr, Glantaf, and Bro Edern. Under the direction of Caryl Ebenezer, the energetic and ambitious singers love performing and are quickly making a name for themselves in the community and beyond with their unique, rich sound. From traditional songs to classical and contemporary pieces, the new album Annwyl Faria, recorded at St Augustine’s Church, Penarth features a wide range of beautiful music, and includes works specially commissioned for the choir by some of Wales’s leading composers. The launch concert will be an exciting opportunity to enjoy a live performance of the tracks on the album, as well as special contributions by some of the choir’s talented individuals.

The album will be available on all digital platforms and also in CD format, which can be purchased at the concert.

A warm welcome to all!
Free entry, with a voluntary contribution to support the choir’s future work.
