Cardiff University Collegium will present a varied and exciting concert at 7:00 pm on Friday 24 April, 2026, at St Augustine's Church, Penarth. The repertoire will include several first Welsh modern performances, including an eighteenth-century overture to the opera La Sofonisba by Maria Teresa Agnesi and a motet O quam dulce for voices and strings by the seventeenth century nun composer Maria Xaveria Peruchona. Also featured will be a concerto for harpsichord by John Stanley, Leonardo Leo's Sinfonia concertante for solo cello and orchestra, beautiful and evocative sacred choral works by Carlotta Ferrari, and part-songs by Frank Bridge and David Dubery. There will also be solo piano music by Melanie Bonis performed by Ana Beatriz Ferreira. Proceeds from this concert have been generously donated to Penarth Ministry Area.
